Hagan wants to link small companies with qualified workers
Jeff Frushtick has a pressing problem: He needs specialized machinists but can’t find any.
The president and CEO of Leonard Automatics Inc. in Denver, N.C., is poised to expand Leonard beyond its current 30 employees but is stuck in a hiring limbo because of a lack of qualified workers. He expressed his frustration at a workforce development roundtable discussion Friday in Matthews hosted by Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C.

as Regional Sales Director for the West
Chuck Anderson has been selected as Western Regional Sales Director, covering the western U.S. for Chicago Dryer Company. Anderson has been in the laundry industry for more than 23 years, most recently with the Ellis Corporation. Anderson will work with Chicago’s established distributor network to increase sales and provide additional customer support services.

a full complement of linen handling equipment, including the FL-LITE multi-lane
flatwork folder, the AP-LITE drop stacker, and the FT-LITE drywork folder. Thanks

Leonard Frushtick, founder of Leonard Automatics, passed away Monday, August 1st, 2011 at the age of 80.
Frushtick started his career selling buttons to the garment manufacturing industry. He later expanded the business to include a variety of machinery. In 1969 he moved his family to North Carolina to be closer to the garment industry and founded Leonard Automatics. As the garment manufacturing industry began to decline in the mid-80s, Frushtick migrated to the laundry industry. Read more of this article »
