IAHTM European Laundry Tour Includes Plant Visits, Attendance at Texcare and ‘Exchange of Ideas and Best Practices’

            Powell, OH – July 11, 2016 – Members of the International Association for Healthcare Textile Management (IAHTM) recently participated in a nine-day group study tour that included visits to laundries and vendor factories in Germany and The Netherlands – as well as attendance at Texcare International, which bills itself as the “world’s leading trade fair for the laundry, cleaning and textile rental sectors.”

            IAHTM is a nonprofit membership organization of senior-level experts in textile management. The study tour was part of IAHTM’s on-going mission to provide members educational opportunities for the exchange of information, ideas and best practices to maximize their laundry’s efficiencies.

            “The educational and networking opportunities were exceptional for both IAHTM members within the study group and among those individuals we met at the various locations we visited,” said Rocco Romeo, board president of IAHTM.

             Vendor sponsors Kannegiesser and Jensen-Group assisted the group with tours of their respective manufacturing facilities. Other sponsors included Medline Industries Inc. and Standard Textile Co. Inc. Laundry plant tours included visits to Jöckel Textilservice, Ruess GmbH, Betriebsgesellschaft Duisburger Krankenhäuser mbH, and Wasserij van der Kleig & Zn.
