Intentionally staining dark clothes with tea mustard etc..

We've all stained a white shirt with something. The same thing for dark clothing.

I've noticed that a stain on a dark t-shirt makes it look newer where the stain is. Does anyone have any tips on how to intentionally stain all my dark clothes with tea mustard coffee etc..

Ecolab Bleach

Quick question for any Ecolab users. I started with Turbo Brite as a destainer but noticed they delvered me Laundry Destainer. I'm not finding a difference on their website. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Turbo Brite came in a blue 55 gallon drum while Laundry Destainer is in standard white 55 gallon drum. Both MSDS sheets point to an 8.4% sodium hypochlorite concentration. Curiously, my bleach residuals have risen. In fact, I've added an ...

Tape/Adhesive Removal

A large hospital has contacted me about treating their linen with tape, heart monitors etc that their COG laundry provider will not touch. Does anyone have advice for removing these adhesive based items? I already use amyl acetate to treat individual items and it works well but for larger volumes this would be very labor intensive not to mention the fumes. It was recommended that I use 32 oz/100# of Hydroterge and begin with a ...

Nonionic Detergent

Could I get some suggestions on any nonionic or cationic detergents available in the market (off-the-shelf). This is for use in normal household washers, not for commercial applications. We plan to use an antimicrobial additive for our laundry and the product usage directions state that 'for best results use non-ionic or cationic degetergents'. Apparently any anionic surfactant in the detergent will deactivate this antimicrobial, hence the nonionic/cationic requirement.

Any of-the-shelf product suggestions will be greatly ...

Bulk Chemical Tanks

How many Laundries have gone beyond the 55 gallon barrels to Bulk tanks 1000 gallons or more? How much linen needs to be produced when this happens? I am writing a Chemical Handling Guideline and now covering spills and mixing. I have never seen in a laundry with the chemical storage we have som I am trying to get a feel of how much production a laundry accomplishes when the need of bulk chemicals are ...

Natural Chemicals for Diaper Service

Hi!

We are a diaper service expanding to commercial machines and I'm currently looking into chemical companies. It's important to us to use natural, non-toxic products in our cleaning process, so I am just curious if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks!
Judy
