Less than .4 gpp. Is it just faster cycle times or what?

I have heard those claims as well, but is anyone getting those type of results? If so, what type of goods (healthcare, hotel, linen, ect) do you process?? What are your accurate transfer times and load sizes??

I have seen a Jensen tunnel running with 0.4 gpp in a healthcare laundry. Using 0.3gal press water to rinse zone.
It put a lot more pressure on the chemical companies to get the chemistry balanced when using less freshwater.
Hotel laundries should run 0.4-0.5 as it's "clean" linen.

HOjer,
are you saying that the Jensen you referenced isusing an overall total of 0.7 gpp; or only 0.4 gpp?? For typical healthcare applications the 0.4 appears to be quite low!

They are using 0.4gpp of fresh water and 0.3gpp of reuse press water. 0.4gpp fresh water is very low but it works for them.

How are you tracking the reuse from the press? I assume you just watch as it pumps through the sight flow meter? Or do you have that metered seperate from the fresh?

Does anyone using the pulseflow system, with the claimed low 'new' water consumptions (heavy on reusing old water) and quick formula times, have any quality problems on the goods? Without the proven traditional rinsing and less contact time wit chemistry, something has to suffer. What about linen damage? Lots of questions on this new system!

I've seen 8 mod 250lb pluseflow Milnor tunnels use .2 ggp with a 2m45sec transfer time on medium soil goods. Funny thing is the transfers could have been a lot faster...

Great numbers! Where are these systems located? To be down at .2 gal/lb is pretty low, any issues with the TDS that is going down the drain? There are some water companies that take a bad view on the total solids in the waste water. What type of 'medium soil' goods are being processed? General linen, healthcare??
