Tie-Wrap Machines

Postby Jay-ShiftManager » Thu Apr 05, 2012 7:52 am

Hello everyone! I'm looking for web sites that have a tie wrap machine option. Anyone have any ideas on solutions for tie-wrapping items in bundles?

As a general rule,
most everything that you will need for a laundry can be found at:
http://www.thelaundrylist.com
If you are looking to purchase new, follow "LINKS" to machinery manufactures.

HB Bunn is one supplier that you will find there.

Thank you. HB Bunn has a machine you're familiar with that works well?

Bunn makes a good machine, one of the most common found in the USA.
Tie machines are like sewing machines, and most other machines within the laundry,
they are only as good as your maintenance team.

We have had a couple Felins for years and they require a lot of maintenance. We recently purchased a Mosca strapping machine and love it. Faster, cleaner, SAFER, and trouble free. they are more money but down the road we won't be spending the dollars on maintenance.

Whatever you do stay away from Plas-Ties and anything they make. We went through three XLT machines in 18 months because of their poor design and aboslutely horrible turn around time for their refurb options.

We sent them ours and they sent us a loaner. We paid for this by the way...the loaner worked less than the one we sent them. A few days later another loaner shows up and it doesnt work either. We had to tie by hand for a week and then take th parts from the two loaners to make one working unit.

They kept our unit for almost a year without sending it back...when it came back it was in the same condition we sent it to them in.

Their sales guy is really pushy too...I forget his name but he was trying to get me to purchase a new $30k machine instead of fixing the one we had.

There is a eurpoean company that touts their 'green' entry into the tie-wrap machines where they use recycled paper for the wrapping and print the item or customer information on the wrapping!
