Gonzo, there are still a few out there. The fans of the six pack are high production plants that do a lot of towels. I have one customer that actually puts 2 people feeding towels on each six pack during high season to max out production. They don't have the slow cycle times that plague air towel folders.

Do not know if they plan to ressurect the 6-pack or not, but Leonard Automatics owns the rights to the Challenge folding equipment at this time.
Yes, they were a good productive machine, designed for through-put, but the newer model folders can do a 'speed' job as well. I have seen production rates on standard towels upwards to 1,100 to 1,300 per hour doing a simple french fold and 1 crossfold. Not too bad!!
