Leonard Frushtick, founder of Leonard Automatics, passes away

Leonard Frushtick, founder of Leonard Automatics, passed away Monday, August 1st, 2011 at the age of 80.

Frushtick started his career selling buttons to the garment manufacturing industry. He later expanded the business to include a variety of machinery. In 1969 he moved his family to North Carolina to be closer to the garment industry and founded Leonard Automatics. As the garment manufacturing industry began to decline in the mid-80s, Frushtick migrated to the laundry industry. Read more of this article »

Lavatec, Inc emerges from Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Mr. Albert Goudkuil announced today that Goudkuil Laundry Machinery from Apeldoorn, Holland has acquired all of the assets and business operations of Lavatec, Inc. in Naugatuck, CT.  Mr. Goudkuil will be the President of the company.
